Star Wars Things We Love (a gift guide)
We love Star Wars around here! Almost every day, my 5 year old begs me to play "Darth Vader musics" and all day, he drums the Imperial March with his mouth. Although the kids haven't seen a whole movie, they love to talk about the lightsabers, the robots, and the bad guys.
Since Christmas is coming soon, I thought I would share all of our favorite Star Wars things. Today is Day 2 of my "All Wrapped Up" Gift Guide Series.
Who doesn't like Lightsabers? A highly powerful weapon for the space age that folds up small enough to be hung on your belt. They're amazing! There are so many lightsaber things on the market that I had trouble only picking out a few. We actually only own the Lightsaber Toy and the Toothbrush (so good for getting kids to brush their teeth). They looked silly by themselves on the picture, so I added some more. I love all the lightsaber kitchen items like the Pizza Cutter, Immersion Blender, and Salt and Pepper Shakers, which allow you to defend the Galaxy every time you cook! There's also Chopsticks, Silverware, Cupcake Toppers, and so much more. I think you could probably find a lightsaber for every room of your house. I smile every time I see this case on my husband's phone. It's fun and catches the eye, while being understated and geometric. For less than $10, it would make a good stocking stuffer or just-because gift. Grab it for yourself by clicking on the picture above.
Lovers of Lego and lovers of Star Wars will find the ultimate gift in this alarm clock! Of course, Darth Vader is the best, but there is also Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, and Yoda. The clock face lights up and features a classic alarm. My only thing disappointing about this toy is that it's not tough enough for my tough kid (few toys are), but we keep buying them (I think we've had 4) because they're so cool. Check out all the models available by clicking on the picture above.
I don't think this book is being published anymore. We bought a used copy off of Amazon for a few bucks. The boys love it! They had very little interest in the alphabet until they started seeing that "S is for Stormtrooper" and "D is for Darth Vader." There is a newer book that should be more readily available called ABC-3PO. Books are always a great gift idea for families with kids- see more Star Wars books by clicking on the picture above.
Somehow, we ended up with several of these super soft, super nerdy bathrobes. We own the Chewbacca and Jedi robes, which are both great for lounging or keeping warm on a cold winter night. The Darth Vader looks just as comfortable, too. Pair the robe with a book and mug for a snuggly gift basket. Click on the picture to grab your own comfy robe.
This is our newest Darth Vader toy from Skimmer's birthday. The 12" action figure has a long lightsaber and authentic costume. When you squeeze the legs together, his saber lights up, he makes the fighting sounds, and he swings his weapon around like a maniac. He's a very fun toy and gets carried everywhere. Grab one for the Star Wars kid in your life by clicking on the picture.
I bought this kite for our beach vacation. The kids had no trouble getting it into the air and loved the power and excitement of watching it fly. Pair with a Death Star beachball and you're on your way to a beach themed gift.
This pillow buddy is super soft but really detailed. He doesn't make any noise or light-up so he's perfect for bedtime. The "buddy" is quite large as well (3ft or so) so he's perfect for the 2-6 year old crowd. He would look awesome in a Star Wars bedroom! Click on the picture to buy yours today.
This is only day 2 of my All Wrapped Up gift guide. I still have 28 more days of ideas and lists! Come back soon!
